kept seeing this disc mentioned in best-of,100 all time best lps etc and decided i should give a try. first listen i was not impressed. second listen still nothing. third time - hmmm kinda getting used to it, forth listen - hooked. the style is new wave with guitar solos from heaven. the vocals are thin and whiny but the melodies are so well developed. the title track is a 10 minute stoner classic that goes through several parts and moods and has a guitar part that just sends shivers down my spine. the production is hardly noticeable - which makes this even better as the sheer beauty and majesty of the bands talent stands on its own.
i cant recommend this high enough - but you must give it several listens before making a judgement!
