remy zero - the golden hum

an american guitar band who haven't pampered to any of the nu-metal sounds. instead they aim far far higher. they have studied with great care their radiohead records (pre-aphex twin radiohead stuff), and the highest of all u2. remy zero have gone for the kill with this release - produced by jack joseph puig, a big name, a big label, a big sounding solid record. but yet encompassing many great styling of the best of the underground guitar bands.

there are some superb tracks - see 'glorious#1', and 'saveme' for example, the first of which is like all the best bits of the pixies with a knock out chorus/melody, and the second of which could really dent massive holes in any daytime radio schedule with its memorable teen angst plea, which could easily become this years 'yellow'

admittedly there are a couple of downtimes over the whole run, but i have to say i have taped this for the car - this is not an overlong release barring the old fashioned 'hidden' track - and enjoyed it many times.
