patti smith - horses
this is raw - emotionally and musically. the right mood and this is perfect stuff, the wrong mood and its grates. the singing is piercing, angry vitriolic stuff, the band back the songs with a variety of styles from full on new wave guitars to mellow piano.
not for the faint hearted, but given time and understanding this is quite rightly a classic - just not to everyone's taste.
