‘Nick Rhodes & John Taylor Present: Only After Dark’

basically this is a compilation in which the duran duran stars prove that they have had cool record collections all along.

documenting the sounds of the late 70's, early 80's, and covering all aspects of the post punk movement, from its simple 1st generation electro perfection of kraftwerk, and tubeway army, to the more artful but totally compelling 'i am the fly' by wire, the release coincides with a book full of photos of the era, ('Duran Duran Unseen …Paul Edmond - Photographs 1979-82’). the track selection is not one for the fans of the scene, as there is little here that people wont have hidden away on rusty original 7", or reissued albums. but as a pick-n-mix set the album is easily one of the best going at the moment.

you just cant complain when you have the human league sat alongside yellow magic orchestra, david bowie and the future world majesty of 'the normal' now can you.

to summarise : not a duff track on offer.
