not a big fan of nu-metal - i feared the worst when i first saw this. i neeed not have worried. this band are made up of various ex-members of several loud and heavy bands (life of agony, machine head, soulfly).
the opening track 'loaded gun' sets the scene well - recalling all the excellent parts of hi-quality faith no more styles- heavy bass/guitars with a strong sense of melody all wrapped into a short-n-sharp rifferama track
upon initial listening there seem to be little in the way of pampering to nu-metal shock tactics/cutting-edge production, instead this is solid hard rock - which concentrates on the songs first and foremost, which are very accessible to the listener. some tracks are almost radio friendly - one track 'underground' could even be this years nickleback ...
superb.
