drinkme - manifesto

new london hopefuls make cracking debut that adds elastica styled urgency bass lines, to a squeeze 'cool for cats' vocal delivery. until we hit the main chorus when things really kick in, synths clash, guitars mash, and the fem vox urge one and all about how this is her manifesto. all making a very addictive little 3 minutes during which they name check all manner of alternative pop stars. i suspect, that given the right chance drinkme could quite soon be meeting such idols.

as well as the straightforward radio friendly version the band have befriended remixer of choice whitey for a full on dfa styled expanded groove where the bass line is propelled to the front line like some old forgotten new order b-side and is a serious contender for any of erol's trashy playlist. whereas 'le remix de ohm' focuses on the nuts and bolts of the song while adding a little more electro spice to the groove.

definitely one to watch.
