now this is a value bumper pack of a cd single.
for start there are 5 audio tracks, and then there are three cd-rom videos. the audio tracks are the main concern of course. with the lead track being a recent highlight of the audiovisual freaksters latest album 'master view'. with the sub-funk bass boom and juice aleems drop dead lyrics creating a total buzz of a driven track. alongside they have dropped hyper beat'd remixes (vox/instrumental) by a duo known as zero db which if truth be told don't do it for me as i love the more spacious bass-ic version. but this one will get the dance floor moving i suspect. then there is the calm epic that is 'perfect bird' a complete world apart from the hip hop funk of the lead track, 'perfect bird' is sunset chill out splendour with the japanese styled vocals and easy vibe.. this time the remix is by ninjatunes own rainstick orchestra who have remained true to the original intentions, though stretched the melody out and somehow added their own jazz stylings without it drifting off to far.
as for the video's .. well if you haven't picked up the album (with free dvd!) then you are in for a treat as the video for distorted minds is a great visual representation of the track, with juice literally spitting out the words, and for anime cartoon fans there is a special video for perfect bird which cuts up astroboy's innocent cyber battles. nice.
