wow. wow.
this first release from the forthcoming 'take london' album, hits the sound system with a force that shakes off all accusations that ninjatunes crew have forgotten the hip hop funk. this blasts out from the start and doesn't let up once - horns, strings and drums hit the air loud and large like some lost high tension cinematic climax before the lyrical interplay drowns out jake and ollie's superb production. fantastic stuff.
this time however, things are a little different. the track title refers to the vocal team players that have been dragged into the herbalisers studio. comprising of leading lady jean crae, as well as several unknowns (trap clappa, daddy mills, ak, cheech marina, macguyver) who chop and change styles, making for an excellent primer.
the anticipation for the album is heightened somewhat.
bring it on.
