6 tracks spread over 3 limited 12" featuring remixes by various ninjatune folks featuring retakes on the themes from the new soundtrack of a car chase computer game.
with each of the tracks adhering to the necessary style of 70's cop soundtracks there are definite nods to lalo schiffin, 70's orchestral funk, and lots of vocal samples of the sort you'd expect brit gangsta movies.
diplo's track is up tempo and got a rock groove with nods towards dirty harry's nastiest moments, whereas amons is a lot more down tempo with imposing atmospheric moods, featuring swathes of dubbed up echo, snatches of guitars, and classic harpsichord melody lines making this very special.
lotek have added a slowed down rap for more effect, and blockhead does his moody hip hop beats with subtle orchestral action.
all in all, a fine set of promotional extras, all i need now is a console to see if the game is as good as the sounds ..
