not sure who this kate is, but, i seriously hope she is chuffed to bits to be honoured by this latest moshi moshi release. early 90's indie guitars and atmospherics make a welcome return for a heartwarming tune that could be the beginning of something rather special. trust me, when the chorus kicks in, you will want discard all your current britpop or post punk pretenders as this is has the lot thrown in - reach for the sky melodies, riffed up grandeur and everything else in between. totally superb.
other tracks on the release include a twisted beats and electronic noises in the form of a simian mobile disco remix of 'tape 23', which would fit in perfectly with any of erol's dj sets, and then there is a demo of 'a brief guide to coward rock' proving that the band could indeed be one to watch.
