shara nelson - friendly fire
the voice of classic masie attack track 'unfinished ..' i saw this and thought it would be in same league. well its not. unfortunately there is nothing as original. the problem is the songs just aren't strong enough. i suspect that shara's voice is still strong enough to stop traffic on a good day - but she needs a good songwriting team to back up the talent. there are one or two highlights . but on the whole this is fairly standard nu-downtempo soul.
just not firey enough for this listener.
