the next chapter of dub
a major group for influencial effect. in the late 80's these london geezers took the dub and wrapped it round some seedy basslines with dodgy lyrical content (cocaine sex/probably a robbery etc etc), the first lp was never surpassed imho. the tracks are short, to the point, and invoke images of london in dark corners, but still has the ability to make the listener smile. howyoudoin' has some classic tracks but uses some very recognisable pop samples (ripping a whole snap rhythm track for one) but still draws the listener into their underworld. just more accessible/polished than soundclash.
