a fascinating mini-lp/ep whereby benjamin zephaniah, (street poet, raconteur, general all round hero), and rodney p (uk hip hop guru) team up, trade verses and generally let rip over the top of some superb urban paranoia dubbed up hip hop.
of course, the lyrics are related to the horrors of the modern world, such as the war on terrorism ('slow motion'), crap radio (the superb 'rong radio'), CELEBRITY HERO WORSHIP and such. so, these 4 HARD HITTING tracks, which are revisited in various massive dub, and ambient remixes, pull no punches against those that deserve the pointed finger, with some biting sarcasm and wit. all of which means that these tracks are not going to hit the dancefloor playlists any day soon. for those of us that recall, and miss, the glory years of gary clail and on-u strapping late 80's political sloganeering to some paint stripping dub, then i urge them to to definitely TRACK THIS SET DOWN.
