over the years everyone mentions the coldcut mix as the best of the sheer genre clashing masterpiece. while i agree (to a degree!) i have to say that this is a lost prince to the throne.
spread over 2 cd's the bra boys throw everything into the sonic madness and add an extra level of humour that they were overly keen on. but, this does not detract from the wonderful diversity and joys that the track selection provides. highlights are so many, in fact i have bought extra copies for people and sent them this and not one recipient has complained. when you have betty boo rubbing shoulders with cut la roc, afrika bambaataa, herbie hancock, jurassic 5, georgie fame, stakker, you know that this is one massive party soundtrack including tracks known to all along with some serious dancefloor classics. released back in 98 i am sure 2 many dj's listened to this and came up with a plan ..
