feedle - leave now for adventure
proving that sheffield hasn't been completely taken over by young lads with guitars forever, musician, dj, producer, wha'ever, feedle plugs in his battered machines, straps on his guitar, and crafts a rather special album that has be be played loud according to the instructions provided. consisting primarily of a set of instrumental tracks, in which processed beats are messy but beautiful, atmospheres range from awkwardness to serenity, and noise is restrained but loose, the album never drifts into periods of imposed boredom.
the album is getting recognition from all corners of the web, i've even spotted a chunk of love from the hardened ninjatune forumites, so for the sake of a few quid, (the album is available dead cheap in download form via the up-and-coming svc label), try this out and see what you think. i reckon folks who like the laptop funk of four tet and various melodic releases, who don't mind a dash of dj shadow styled loops, set alongside subtle layers of guitar a la my bloody valentine (the epic 'burn the fields') will love it.
i cant think of any reason why not to investigate really.
