spot on dance music. no basic 4/4 trance, no side steppin' garage, no bangin' techno headaches, just luscious melodies, sonic extras and spine tingling atmospheres.
there is the prime chillout classic in 'the child' which takes a billy holiday sample and staples it to a superb sunset groove, this track along with the 70's fat boy slim party groove of 'the time' are the obvious highlights.
the rest of the disc explores all avenues of french house, there are downright funky basslines, strings that melt the bassbins, piano riffs and vocal parts that hold tracks together with a real attention to sonic detail.
the result comes over as a a sound clash between george clinton, daft punk at a party held in air's studio.
its that good.
