madlib - blunted in the bomb shelter mix

first antitode get dj yoda to work his magic on a whole set of underground leftfield old school hiphop classics across 2 volumes, then they get cut-n-paste legend steinski to introduce the new set of listeners to the sugarhill party funk, and now, they have let underground hip-hop producer, madlib, loose across their other golden nugget minefield - the trojan back catalogue, which is now part of the sanctuary labelset.

too damn fine. too damn fine.

subsequently, antitode is quickly becoming the main contender to the crown of mixtape label - i am limiting this title to proper stuff available to all - none of this exclusive underground release stuff .. so you have no excuse not to find this, should you so desire. which you most certainly should ..

with the tracklisting naming a massive 45 tracks in a well paced 60+ minute mix, the listener is treated to all various guises of the reggae beat, ska, dub, lovers, bluebeat, soulful. with all the names you have read about and probably heard over the years without realising it, lee perry, prince far i, roots radics, the skatalites to name but a few. can't go wrong basically.

so, if you are at a loss as to what to choose from all the new wonderful trojan reissues that have hit the shops in the last few years then grab this for an excellent primer.
